Speaking of the Philippines, there are famous tourist beaches such as Cebu, Palawan, and Boracay, but even if you don't go to such islands, there are many beautiful beaches in Luzon.
Marinduque is an island located in the Mimaropa region in the northern part of the Philippines.
Since I've been here for severa ltimes, I'll introduce how to get there and tourist spots in Marinduque.
How to get to Marinduque Island
To go to Marinduque, its only way is take a ferries from Lucena in Quezon Province. I think this is probably the cheapest, and although there is an airport in Marinduque, it seems that there are no regular flights from Manila as of now.
Please take note that ferry departure times are different depending on season and cancellations may occur due to weather. The boarding time is 3-4 hours depending on the weather also.
Depending on the ferry company, the presence or absence of air conditioners, beds where you can take a nap, and a smoking area will differ. It is a ferry without an air conditioner and a bed, so it will be tight.
Larger ferries have rooms and bedrooms with recliners where you can relax while watching a movie.
This time, I left Manila in the afternoon and arrived in Lucena, Quezon Province at 7 pm. We stayed overnight in Lucena and boarded the ferry at 7:00 am the next morning.
Unlike Manila and Angeles, Marinduque Island does not have grab taxis, but you can take a jeepney or tricycle. Therefore, it is convenient to travel by car, as cars can also be carried on the ferry.

Boac, State capital
Boac, on Marinduque, is a really small town. Unfortunately, there aren't many places to play.
Most shops and restaurants close at 7 pm. After 8:00 pm, it is difficult to find a place to eat.
The staff at the restaurant Casa de Don Emilio, which I visited this time, said that it was the only restaurant in Boac that closed at 8:00. was (The reason is that almost no customers enter after 7 pm.)

Mercader St, Boac, Marinduque
By the way, at the hotel restaurant where I stayed, the last order was 9:00, and instant coffee, light snacks, and cakes were available until midnight.
Perhaps because it was before Christmas when I visited this time, many students were practicing dancing in the square.
Poctoy White Beach
There are many beautiful beaches in the Philippines, and it is no exaggeration to say that Poctoy White Beach in Torrijos is one of them.
The pure white sand beach facing the Sibuyan Sea stretches for about one kilometer.
The view of Mt. Malindig and the turquoise color of the sea beyond is very mysterious. It's said to be the finest beach on Marinduque island, but I think that's an underestimate.
I think this Poctoy White Beach is one of the few most beautiful beaches in Luzon.
Things to do in Marinduque
There are not many tourist attractions on Marinduque Island but what I can say now is the rich nature and snorkeling in the beautiful sea that are not so touristy.
It may be recommended for those who want to be released from the stress of daily life and want to chill out.
